The mission of Reinbow Riding Center is to improve the well being of individuals with unique physical, emotional and/or cognitive challenges through a therapeutic equine experience.
Established in 2008, Reinbow Riding Center is a therapeutic riding facility located in Belmont, Vermont. Our PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructors, along with the assistance of many volunteers, provide therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children and adults with cognitive, physical and behavioral challenges. Therapeutic riding provides many benefits for these individuals such as,
• Improved balance, coordination and muscle tone.
• Improved self esteem and motivation to learn.
• Improved social and communication skills.
• Improved ability to focus on sequential tasks.
The calming warmth experienced in the presence of horses and ponies often opens the door to beneficial communication between students and their equine partners and in turn instructors and volunteers.
